On Disappointment was exhibited in the Johnston Collection's Christmas Exhibition – Home Made Good, and aimed to challenge the notion of taste. The installation in the kitchen included iced toby jugs of each of the Hotham Street Ladies, exhibited amongst the Johnston Collection’s toby jug collection. Tapestry samplers were made in partnership with an embroidery group, depicting various comments that were submitted from previous viewers of HSL works. Letters of complaint received about the HSL installation at the Johnston Collection, an HSL expose in the Herald Sun and comments from critics and trolls were all referred to as subject matter.
