To launch the Framed By Gender and Shop of Opportunity projects, the Hotham Street Ladies threw Hear Me Mall, a feminist karaoke party, on the 70s revolving main stage of Boronia Mall. The event featured local women’s choir East City Sound chorus, HSL and special guests who performed songs about gender. The event drew a crowd of community members, many of whom participated, and involved mall vendors and businesses as well as Knox councillors.
